I love the way macro photography allows you to capture beautiful details the eye cannot see. In this series, I wanted to use it to create macro abstract art. What you see in these images is glitter, ink, and gold foil suspended in shampoo. The viscosity of shampoo allowed me to layer the materials and keep them in place, creating just enough distance between them to play with the depth of field allowed by macro lenses. I ended up using a circular crop because I liked how it made them looked like planets.
