Halves Series
Fine Art Prints / Abstract Photography
In its natural state, Jell-O is a vibrant, colourful child’s dream. I wanted to reverse these qualities, and turn Jell-O into something elegant and unexpected. I was interested to see what happens when you take something so familiar and change it in subtle ways to make it look so different. By removing its colour, I was able to bring out an underlying beauty. In this ongoing series, I am also using photographs of tin foil, charcoal powder and ink, as well as honey mixed with baking soda, nail polish and ink.
